Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your name, contact details, account information and communication preferences. Our waitlist asks for your email address, state and permission to send waitlist and launch updates. When you use product features, we may process property and contact details, tasks, messages, attachments and related delivery records. We also keep records of communication consent and opt-outs.
Information collected automatically
Our website and service providers process technical information, such as IP addresses and request and error information, to deliver the service, prevent abuse and investigate problems. Account services may also use cookies or similar storage for sign-in and session management. The public waitlist form does not require an account.
Information handled for property businesses
Landlords and property managers may provide information about tenants, vendors and other contacts when using Doorbrief. We process that information on their behalf to provide the software, assist with communications and carry out authorized communications. Messages, replies, delivery records and related information may be available to that business and its authorized workspace members. When Doorbrief is identified as the sender of a messaging program, this policy applies to Doorbrief's handling of recipient information. When a property business is the identified sender, that business is responsible for its recipient-facing privacy notices and choices, while Doorbrief processes information as its service provider. Property businesses are responsible for their own collection and use of information, including the permissions needed to share it with us and direct communications. For questions about a property business's records, contact that business; you can also contact us for help directing your request.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure Doorbrief, organize property-related activity, support communications you request or authorize, respond to support requests, and maintain consent and opt-out preferences. We use waitlist information to understand interest and provide updates you agree to receive. We may also use information to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
AI-assisted features
When you use AI-assisted features, relevant information, including messages, attachments and task details, may be processed by AI service providers to produce summaries, suggested replies or other requested assistance. These features use information supplied through the service or authorized connections; they do not automatically access your personal text inbox.
When we share information
We share information with service providers that support functions such as hosting, storage, communications, security and AI processing, as needed for those functions. Within a property workspace, information may be available to authorized members; communications are shared with their intended recipients. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the security of our services. The SMS restrictions below apply to mobile information and messaging consent.
Mobile information and SMS consent
We do not sell or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share SMS opt-in information or consent for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging program. Providers that help deliver and operate the program may process this information as necessary to provide those services. Joining the email waitlist or providing someone's contact details does not enroll them in SMS.
Your choices and requests
Contact support@doorbrief.co to withdraw from waitlist emails or request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify your identity or coordinate with the property business responsible for the records. Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. For an enabled SMS program, reply STOP to stop its messages or HELP for help. Email and SMS preferences are separate.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, considering the service relationship, the type of information and applicable obligations. After an opt-out or deletion request, we may retain limited records to remember your preferences, meet legal requirements or resolve disputes. Backup copies may remain until their normal deletion cycle. We use access restrictions and encrypted connections to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes and contact
